Comment: What I liked was they wouldn't just ******(redacted) rig it like I asked them to. Troy flat out told me that they don't do that type of work. He said there's a lot of guys out there that will take your money, but they're not going to be around or warrant it etc. I was just trying to save money is all. However, as cost keep going up, I'm sure it won't be any cheaper next year. I was surprised by the number of roofs Troy told me he walks away from because they don't do half-a** (redacted) work. I know one in particular they walked away from, and I see they have *** Roofing (redacted) doing it. It just makes you wonder is all. If I'm going to pay someone then I want the best, if you have cancer wouldn't you want the best surgeon? and not someone that is cheap and just takes your money? Get the best and have it done right is all I can say, and these guys did just that. Thanks guys, oh and PS> I'm a Packers Fan and we still got your number there 'Steve dah Bears' fan worker.

Comment: These guys are great. I had several people look at my roof and these guys impressed me the most. I'm so glad I had them do the work. They did an excellent job. Our insurance adjuster said it was the best workmanship he'd seen. I almost went with someone else, when I told my insurance agent it was ******* (redacted), he said good thing I didn't because he's had nothing but problems dealing with them. He also said that ************ (redacted) Insurance has never had problems with Virginia's and they're a preferred vendor.

Comment: Don't be fooled by someone giving a cheaper 'Proposal' because they low ball you to get the job and then charge you more money. Also, look at the shingle they're putting on, cheap shingles might save you some money, but a better shingle isn't much more. I do electrical and construction work, so I know a lot of these guys, but I don't do roofs. The average roof, in Kankakee is about $14k - $20k, I did use Larry whenever I needed a roof in the past, but he's doing roofs now for the Lord. I called around and got some estimates and one was about $3k less than the average. Then I stumbled into these guys at the Legion; someone said they worked with Larry years ago. I talked with Troy, asked for an estimate and he hit the numbers right where I was estimating. I hired them and no regrets. I'd like to think my friend Larry was smiling down on me and made it all happen.

Comment: My dumb a** was out BBQing on the back deck and had the grill to close to the siding and went inside prepping the chicken and when I came out, the grill had melted the siding. Was I pissed at myself, and sick to my stomach. My husband was pissed, so we called and talked with Troy, and he came out and looked at it and told me it wasn't really that bad, but it would just take some time to fix it, more labor than parts. Troy worked with my insurance and got some of it covered and impressed my husband. I came home yesterday from work and was surprised it was all fixed. If I didn't know any better, I wouldn't even know there had been a problem. There's just a slight color difference and Troy told me that once the sun works on it, it will fade and probably match 100%. So, no more BBQ grills next to the house because my husband had Troy build me a beautiful BBQ area with a concrete pad and kitchen counter area which was his little surprise to me.

Comment: Wanted some things cleaned up and a shed tore down. I'm getting too old to do this stuff. Not a big job, but they came over and took care of it. While they were here, I had a flat tire on my car. Steve took it off and took it to have it patched for me. He didn't even charge me, I just had to reimburse him for what the tire place charged to fix it. So, I bought him and his worker 'Doug' a pizza for lunch. A nice bunch of guys and reasonable. The owner stopped by and scolded me for feeding the help, he said they'd get spoiled and would now want lunch every day. He was joking of course, but he and my cousin hit it off as they talked about their Army days and what the Cubs will be doing this year. Comment: I had a fire and my insurance company recommended them. Great job, no issues. Thank goodness I used these guys because I was going to use someone else before my agent told me to call these guys. If I would have used who I was going to use, it wouldn't have been insurable because the other contractor wasn't licensed and bonded. Comment: Used these guys a few times, never had any problems. They're probably one of the best in the area. They're often busy, so sometimes they have to schedule things, but I've never had any problems. If it's an emergency, they'll get right here like when my water heater stopped working.

Comment: No issues. There was more damage once they tore off the roof than they thought. Thank God they worked with the insurance and got an adjustment. My Agent said that a lot of guys would just not have fixed it like these guys did. I got a roof now that will last the rest of my life. My sister needs a root put on her garage; I'm going to recommend these guys.
