Comment: My furnace went out and it wasn't working so I called around and got ******** (redacted) to come look at it and the repair guy said the main board was bad and it would be $400+ to replace it (plus labor) and it would 3 days before they could get the part. I mentioned it to one of my co-workers and she said to call these guys. She said I know they do construction and thought they had furnace people too and maybe they could fix it. I talked to the owner, and he sent out Troy and Chris and they got it working. The batteries on the thermostat were bad and there was a broken /bad wire. It was less than $5 in parts and a $75 service call. I have no idea why the other guy said the main board had to be replaced, but Troy said that a lot of people just start replacing parts.

Comment: These guys did great. They did what they said they would do, and I was glad I hired them. I called a few other contractors and they just seemed to be about doing a 'cheap and fast' job instead of doing it correctly. Comment: I had a couple contractors look at my roof and Troy impressed me the most. Also, the other contractor asked me to pull the roofing permit. I didn't know any better, but I went with these guys because they got back to me and followed up. They were a little more, but when I asked Troy if he wanted me to pull the permit. He said, what a silly question to ask. When I told him the other contractor said I had to pull the permit because it's my house; he said that's because the other contractor was NOT licensed (red flag). He told me licensed and bonded roofers pull the permit, and if anyone ever wants you to pull the permit then they're 'shady' and not licensed or bonded. Thank God I dodged that bullet.

Comment: They did a good job, but they didn't start when they said they would. They were 3 weeks late starting on my roof. When I called Troy, he said it was because of bad weather and they were unable to start. I was just told a start date and was never told they couldn't install the roof if it was snowing and raining. Couldn't they just shovel off the snow? I just thought they'd start when they said they would.

Comment: Found these guys on FB and I was looking for someone to install a fence for me. They came in and did a very nice job too. My mother had them fix her chimney and siding. What I really liked about them was that they don't do it on the 'cheap'. They do quality work, and I was amazed how quick they got things done.

Comment: These guys are great. I had several people look at my roof and these guys impressed me the most. I'm so glad I had them do the work. They did an excellent job. Our insurance adjuster said it was the best workmanship he'd seen. I almost went with someone else, when I told my insurance agent it was ******* (redacted), he said good thing I didn't because he's had nothing but problems dealing with them. He also said that ************ (redacted) Insurance has never had problems with Virginia's and they're a preferred vendor.

Comment: I heard you guys did roofs but when I had another roofing company ************ (redacted) they were about $3k less than you guys. You're too expensive. ADMINISTRATOR: This could be for several reasons, they could be only giving you a 'Proposal', they could be giving you a cheaper shingle, etc. In other words, you might not be comparing Apples to Apples. There are also a few contractors that deliberately give lower estimates then they charge you more for everything else, such as 70¢ per nail on decking, or decking replacement etc. Whereas with us, we don't do that. Also, we have no problem coming back out and taking a re-look and comparing pricing to see ways to save you money. If another company gives you a legitimate quote, we'll match it or beat it. Remember you get what you pay for, and cheaper construction is NOT what you want done at your home. We'll call you and schedule a revisit and see what can be done. It might be they're installing a cheaper IKO shingle.

Comment: Man did these guys kick butt on my roof. I've had 3 other companies come out and try to fix a leak I had been dealing with for two years now. Steve said the other guys were just roof cementing it and that's why it keeps leaking. They tore out around by chimney and built a cricket and re-flashed it. No more leaks. I should have had these guys do my roof 3 years ago instead of hiring ********* (redacted).
